FINAL REFLECTION

What I have learnt in this module?
For this module, I learned a lot of things that I had never been exposed to before. I learned that there are so many design principles, and also understood their meaning and function. Besides, three phase of visual analysis can help us better understand the work. Every painting has a vision, and we need to understand what the painting means.

What did I enjoy the most?
The part I enjoyed the most was Task 3. I really enjoy drawing, so although Task 3 was the most time-consuming and energy-consuming part, it was still the part I enjoyed the most. I feel a sense of accomplishment when I see the final artwork.

What did I not enjoy the most?
The part of not enjoyable was the part of Task 1. In order to better understand the design principles, in addition to watching the videos released by the lecturer, I also need to search the Internet for some information and examples to help me gain a deeper understanding. This part is a bit boring, so it is also the part I enjoy the least.

What have I learnt about myself through this module?
Through this module, I have a clearer understanding of my abilities and also understand what needs to be improved and worked on.

What has changed and what has not in my learning journey?
During my learning process, my way of thinking has changed. Before, when I observed a artwork, I would first understand the background story and analysis of the painting, but now I will observe, think and understand it before looking for information.

What are my aspirations?
For the future, I want to improve my painting skills and create better works.
