INTRODUCTION

FINAL PROJECT

For final project, we required to finalize our asset by completing texture baking, texturing, rendering, and professional presentation using industry-standard real-time tools.

I remade the turntable video because the character in the turnaround video for Project 2 ZBrush was too small.

Before importing the character into Adobe Substance 3D Painter, you need to ensure that the high poly and low poly layer names in Maya are aligned.

After importing, I found that all my layers were automatically merged together, so I need to go back to Maya to apply the lambert.

After doing baking, I noticed black spots appearing on my model. The problem was solved after Mr. Luqman helped me adjust the UV mapping layers.

After solving that problem, I start adding the texture.

After doing texturing, I do rendering on Marmoset. This part went smoothly without any difficulties.

Then, I use Maya to adjust the character pose.

For the final presentation video, I make another close up video and combine this three video together. Also add a BGM for it.

FEEDBACK

Week 11: The black spots is cause the UV Mapping problem, need to solve it on Maya.

REFLECTION

This module was both interesting and difficult for me. It was interesting because many of the things were new to me, and difficult because every step was interconnected, a mistake in one step could make it difficult to continue in the next.

After completing all the projects, I think the most difficult part was the retopology. It required great care and was also the most time-consuming. Each step required considering how everything connected, which necessitated consulting references.

I really learned a lot in this module, learned new skills and how to use new software. Maya, Adobe Substance 3D Painter, and Marmoset are all software programs I am new to. Although we encountered many difficulties along the way, they were all resolved with the help of the lecturer and classmates. This module has really helped me improve myself.
