FINAL PROECT

Final Project: Animated Infographics

In this final project, we will transform our Project 1 Instructable Infographic Poster into a 60-second motion graphic video. Zi En and I chose my Project 1 to continue with the final project.

We started by creating storyboards and defining the timeline to help us conceptualize the entire animation process.

Then we started creating the animatics for our respective parts to see if the results were as expected.

After confirming the desired effect, we began adding the transform.

Based on the lecturer's feedback, I removed some unnecessary animations and made some adjustments to the title animation. After that, I changed the font of "45min" and changed the background color to match the title background.

After completing all the animations, we started adding sound effects. We decided to use the music from Cooking Mama as background music. It also added sounds of chopping vegetables, turn on the stove, and a clock ticking.

FEEDBACK

Week 6: The idea is good, but the storyboard could be made more complete, with some additional descriptions. No need to draw every single egg, just label the total number of eggs next to them.

Week 7: The title is too fast and has too many unnecessary animations, making it difficult to notice the main point. For the clock section, avoid using a black background, as black can give a very serious impression, which does not fit your theme. The font for "45min" does not necessarily have to match the title, can use a more suitable font.

REFLECTION

This project was very interesting, and I didn't encounter any major difficulties. Collaboration and communication with my team members went smoothly. When creating my assigned section, I didn't encounter any particularly difficult problems, solutions and tutorials for most issues could be found online. This project allowed me to better control the rhythm of the animation and achieve better results, and improve my animation production skills. I didn't have much experience with After Effects before, so this project improved my skills.
